Dragon Age: The Veilguard...
...or should I say the Failguard? Cept it's not really protecting anything from failing... I really wanted to like it... I've waited for so long and even if previous games have left some things to be desired, they were still really enjoyable. You could always trust the story to be solid and the dialogue to keep you hooked. But this..? I've gotten six hours in now and I havent enjoyed a minute of it. I keep pushing on hoping for something more but there's nothing there. It's like it's written by a five year old... For five year olds ๐ I know many are directing their criticism towards the "wokeness", and yes, it is forcing things, yet that's still just a footnote put in perspective to the absolute slaughter of this game. They've had ten years... This is tragic... and embarrassing. I don't know what this abomination is... but it is NOT Dragon Age. I feel sick.

Just bail. Bioware is long gone, and the AAA companies don't care enough to make good games anymore. I recommend remasters and remakes, like deadspace, resident evil, ff7 etc. Outside of that stick to the companies that publish high praise games, like Marian and bg3, from software, etc. Also I've found a lot of success and fun in indie games. Ori and the blind forest, stray, stuff like that.
