Jesus is the perfect sinless son of God one who never sinned at all. He never broke any of God's law, while He was on the cross, He took on God's wrath (which was placed on us). Jesus died in our place, so we could live through Him, it's only by Him that we can be saved, no deed is good enough, we are all condemned and slaves to sin. By this point you possibly think "you're not as bad as this or that person" but God doesn't think that way. God's law said this: Thou shall not lie (even a white lie counts) Thou shall not steal (the value is irrelevant) Thou shall not covet (when you desire what belongs to someone else) Thou shall not commit adultery (Jesus said we do this also when we look at someone with lust) Thou shall not murder (even if you hate someone you break this) Thou shall not dishonor your parents (have you ever cursed your parents?, or disobeyed them when they said "take out the trash") Thou shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain (have you ever blasphemed? You do this when you say "oh my (beep) or God (beep)) Thou shall not make an idol to worship it (we can make a phone our idol or people or even ourselves, even saying "my god won't ever send anyone to hell" is making an idol because it's not God you're worshipping but something you made to take His place) Thou shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and might (we do this when we always think of God highly, always worship Him through reading the bible or praying or helping others or playing music to His name but many of us have not throughout our life's) Thou shall keep the Sabbath day holy (the day where devote our whole day to God (Saturday), we don't work, or even do anything in our own will, we dedicate all our time to God) Have you kept all of these since your brith? If you have then good news you are perfect, if not still good news Jesus did, and He gave up His own life for you. He gave up His own life so we could live through Him, we can't do anything in order to gain salvation we are all dead while we live, you'll never see a dead human doing anything. God saved us, it's all a work of God not of us. We are all condemned and slaves to sin. It's only by Jesus that we can be saved, we must put all of our trust alone in Him, not in ourselves and our own goodness but in Jesus. When we do this, God changes us. He renews our hearts and minds and bodies, we love what He loves and hate what He hates, we crave rightousness and detest wickedness, if we do sin the holy spirit (which is given to us on the moment we received Jesus as our Lord and saviour) will convict us of sin, the holy spirit will show us our sin, and we will be sad and turn form it. It's a 100% work of God not of works. So now the choice is up to you, if you love this world you can have this world, if you wish to turn form this world into the loving arms of God, you must go through Jesus and Jesus alone.
