Do you feel like you carry the conversation?

Feel free to vent or drop ideas how to deal with it. I understand when people cannot meet your energy but it always feels like they don't want to which leaves you exhausted.

INTJ, and have put effort to talk to ppl on apps. I keep talking to new ppl, but no one seems to like talking online, at least not consistently.

I have a little test I run. Kind of a litmus test. I'll drop a mental health joke, and if they don't respond at all I move on. If they respond negatively, I let them have it. If positive, then I use it as an opportunity to address something important while gauging their interest

Yes, and it's extremely frustrating. As a person who is introverted it hard for me to even do this in the first place lol, plus i always have that fear I'm saying something wrong. So makes that feeling worst when the conversation is one sided or one worded. But you want to show interest. I understand this completely.

I think...I try to carry or spark a conversation with others who I feel connected to but I must also understand that it's their choice if they feel connected or not. So, I think I shouldn't be taking this seriously and just move on.

Genuinely shocked the comments aren't flooded with ENFPs saying how tired they are lol. At this point I finally figured out I should only be giving the same level of energy/emotional labor I'm getting back. Took me YEARS to figure that out--i used to just double down on the effort. "Maybe if I'm MORE they will show a little enthusiasm?" This is not the way.

At times, I feel like, I carry the conversation, yeah. Reason why I stop liking & massaging, also other reasons.

I crave deep conversations, a intj-a etc, so I need it. I don't mind small talks at time, aslong it is interesting but I understand some might not have the energy to type to whatever.
