We know every country has its own stereotypes, some are ok, but some are really not right. For instance, people from outside of Brazil think we live in the jungle and walk naked in the streets. And they think everyone here loves soccer and "Samba" (I hate it.). But we are lovely people, we like to hug, to kiss and to share. How is it in your place? It sounds harsh and demeaning to say that an entire country is opposed to what we call "modern living" living more "uncivilized". Tho I do have to admit that I always thought that in Brazil you had a strong soccer and "Samba" affinity and culture around it. 😅 What kind of dances than "Samba" are more aligned with your culture? 🤔 or would you not count any dance to it and choose smth else? Well, a lot of people think Germany is exactly as they see or witnessed Oktoberfest: Everyones everyday attire is Lederhosen or Dirndl, we drink a hell lotta beer as often as possible, eat only those sausages, Sauerkraut and pretzels and have the bavarian accent. Despite all of this is only a thing in Bavaria, which is just a part of Germany and that part is not even half of the countrys size nor inhibits the most people. Germany has like many other countries a variaty of cultural things that differ from region to region. Yeah we do have a lot of beer over here, yet not everyone here drinks it and alcoholics rates aren't THAT high. But what is simply outragous is that some - I guess uneducated - people geniuenly believe, that Germany is either STILL governed by Hitl. or that everyone living in Germany, including all immigrants from all over the world, are nazis. 😓 Sure we are not freed from right-wing fanatics and neo-nazis over here unfortunately and it did happen in the past. Yet after it fell the curriculum in school was changed into blasting how bad that time and ideology was and is and that we should do whatever it takes to prevent and stop it from ever happening again into childrens heads as soon as they have history lessons, which is around 12 years of age. Many more long-term steps around preventing and stopping it are taken. And yet, germans get called nazis, because some actually think its a synonym to germans. -_- Well.. my rant is over.
