Question

OK unfortunately in are 1 month relationship she didn't like the shop lifting joke which is not even dark and the body in the trunk joke which came up when she said OK its final good to meet you and to see that you're not a serial killer and I was like OK good just don't check the trunk I guess that day she brushed it off but when she broke up with me she mentioned it but I guess she had enough when I pretended to put something in my jacket . Did I mess up or would it have been a toxic relationship anyway?

And really; like a good comic, you brought the routine back up here and there for an on-going joke 😄

But you were riding on her feelings of bein uncomfortable. And the topic makes many stand-offish to say the least.🫢  So her reaction is warranted and to be expected 😬🤷🏼

That being said I make many similar jokes and references to serial killers and stuff myself.  So I am no better 🤣😄🤭

Jokes aside, some people's humor doesn't mesh well with somebody elses - sometimes only in parts, sometimes fully. And you can either decide to not do certain jokes with that person if there is enough other stuff you both can laugh and joke about. Or that it's just a bad match altogether, and that's okay. ^^

I wouldn't say toxic.. maybe just a bad match... with the amount of crime podcasts I watch... I have a lot of dark humor... some of my workmates actually thing I could be a secret serial killer... lmao... (in only Fiji wasn't this small, maybe I couldv been 🤣)
