We dont have to play the same games for a conversation and friendship to work. Im a FFXIV player its my game of choice right now. If you come talk to me we dont gotta play the same games to talk but its off putting when you seem to come off bothered i dont want to play anything else right now. 🤷🏼‍♀️ its not a fun conversation when it comes off snide because i dont want to play overwatch or fortnite!

God I've been seeing a bunch of my friends get back into it, I played so much of it during covid that the burn out is real. Hopefully once dawntrail rolls around I might get pushed to catching up.

Everyone has their bread and butter, I'm an RPG guy but can't stand shooters, although I recognize its popularity. They're all valid but it would be cool if we respect others interests at the same time, people have different tastes and that's cool.

Absolutely agreed. I think the issue comes from people who don't know how to expand the conversation beyond what their current interests are. I don't think it's coming from a selfish place, just that they never learned how to step past that boundary.

Agree with this 100%. As long as you're enjoying the game you're playing you stick to it. Everyone has their likes/dislikes and no one should be forced to play something they might not currently be into. As long as you're happy and vibing with the game you're playing the right people will gravitate towards you.
