Best games to play online to meet friends?

I used to play Xbox a lot in high school and I had the best time because I had all of my friends I would talk with for hours while playing gears of war and halo 3. Kinda want to get back into it. Right now I just play my switch. What are some Xbox, phone or switch games that are fun to play with and meet others? (edited)

Blade Idle is hands down the best mobile rpg idle game out there right now. And the community is Hella active because it's basically one big chat room with something to come back too every now and then. The dopamine you get from this game is next level. (edited)

Totally spitballing here but I think: - smash bros - mariokart - soplatoon 2 All have a pretty healthy player base. I’m looking at playing Pokémon unite with one of my buddies who’s on a 3 month vacation. Supposed to be like leagues but Pokémon.

I know it is old-school, but Minecraft is actually pretty interesting to play. Xbox does a great service for joing a group/club and it is actually pretty easy to join others. The fun is actually when you get groups together to try and survive, or a group to build a city. If you want more action oriented games, Destiny 2 has a descent community base and the DLCs are all super cheap since they have been out for a while. I unfortunately have not played Xbox in 4 years, so my info might be outdated. I mainly use PC because of game variety. Good luck on your search for players, I know it can be hard to find them (decent ones at least).

These arent Console games since they made it pretty much a hop in hop out type of community but if you have a PC try : Guild wars 2 - Free MMO, decent community WoW - Subscription based MMO, ok community FF14 - Subscription based MMO, amazing community Maplestory - Free MMO, eh community These usually are the best ways for me to make new friends, very easy to meet new people especially if you join a guild of like minded people.
