What is unconditional love?
What does that mean to you? The concept of someone loving you despite all your flaws. Do you believe it's advice on what to look for or an ideal philosophy that everyone tries to achieve? And considering there are so many dangers in relationships like manipulation, red flags, codependency, maturity, strong self-doubt, split emotions across multiple people or places, or lack of fulfillment in other areas of life; is unconditional love worth pursuing? Is wanting a healthy love conditional, so therefore it isn't really unconditional? What does that say about family? Is blood thicker than water? Or is blood thicker than the water of the womb? Aren't there are a large number of conditions that go into the chance of your existence, the chance of you meeting someone in this day and age, the chance of you being able to meet and be with someone at all; isn't it largely a condition of circumstances? Does love transcend the multi-verse? Like anemoia, how could you have nostalgia for a time of life or situation you've never experienced? What really is love? It's a hard question to answer since it's so wanted, it's easy to understand how it feels, but it's so hard to measure and it means so many things. That feeling of undeniable belonging and connection. To feel unsevered from the world, perhaps? Once upon a Google Search, I've found that Sanskrit supposedly has 96 WORDS FOR "LOVE"??? And I've heard that other languages aside from English have multiple words for different types of love? For some more structure, here are some resources I look at quite often: From some Psych2Go videos there are multiple types of love, such as the following: sensual, platonic, sexual, aesthetic, romantic, infatuation, companionate, consummate, fatous. The book "How To Avoid Falling In Love with a Jerk" by John Van Epp lists several legitimate facets that go into a functional, or dysfunctional, relationship. I highly recommend it. It's one of the most comprehensive reads I've ever witnessed. If you're answering this, you don't have to say a whole lot, but I'm curious of how you react to my ramblings.

Unconditional love is exactly that. Love doesn't have conditions. Therefore if someone tells you "I love you" and there's all these "stipulations" behind it, that isn't love.
