Music tastes

Question

Why is it so hard to talk a about music tastes. I listen to a lot of different things so I usually just talk about some of what I've listen torecently.

So I introduced myself to someone who claimed to be a metal fan. Talked about some of the concerts I have been to and plan to go to.

Her response was we don't like the same music.

Ironically... One of the styles she mentioned was Death metal.... I talked about to going to see a Death metal band... The other two styles she mentioned... also have tickets to see bands that would be described as such...

Should I respond to her? No.. the charitable assumption is she just isn't interested in talking to me.

She just it in a weird and dumb way.

Yeah you have elitist some times that forget being kind is a virtue its toxic enviroment sadly sure you can have a opinion but to outright reject is just pathetic
