Many of us would have come across this interesting question recently. And when the women who were presented with this question chose Bear as the answer, many of us were also aware of how a few men seemed pretty offended by this question & the popular answer, as well as the various reasons for why that answer is considered safer. I came across this video, and now wonder what yall think of this now. Question was presented to fathers. Fathers were asked if the daughter would be safer with a bear or a man in a forest. These fathers made their choice. These men seemed to agree that their daughters would be safer with a bear. I was wondering what you guys/ladies think about this and if there are reasons to justify your choice and also what, men determined about being safe spaces for women, could do or be mindful about to ensure the same. Intention is to share our worries with men who want to be better and for women to also hear men out regards to this. I find it sobering but not too surprising that most women would feel safer with a bear. I've heard enough from the female perspective to know that it's quite a challenge at times, dealing with unwanted attention from men. For me, I find it a difficult choice, because ultimately it depends on the individual bear or man. It's my understanding that most healthy black bears will leave people alone unless they feel their cubs are threatened. Most men I would like to also think would leave my daughter alone if she meant to be left alone in the woods, but of course many would overstep their welcome, unfortunately ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sorry for the meme but yes I've totally agreed and supported this. Tens of thousands of years of male centric society and dominance has encoded very hostile things into the minds of men who think they are entitled and have power over women. A bear don't care about any of that and definitely way more likely to leave a lady alone than many guys who upon seeing a lady they fancy think they must insert themselves into that person's life without permission and care
