Also note that giving someone a compliment on features others probably wouldn't stands out a lot more too and can be more genuine. Anyone can compliment a pretty face but complimenting them on something they never thought about can go a long way to making someone's day! A friend of mine (just a coworker at the time) once told me I had really cool looking canine teeth. I think my response was "Oh really?, Thanks!" It was a compliment I never had received before and I really appreciated that. They might not even remember giving me the compliment 3 years ago but I remember😄 I don't really get compliments outside of family that often so it really stuck out to me.
