I've seen quite a few posts on this app (mostly from other men) lamenting the fact that they simply cannot get any interest or attention from people on here, mostly from women. What I think these guys are missing is that it takes a little bit of effort. Take me for example since I've been on this app I've managed to connect with and form bonds with 4 different women. Three have become very good and treasured friends and the other we've begun dating and it's going great. Why is that you ask? I put in the effort. Many of these posts are guys doing less than the bare minimum and then complaining that they're getting no traction. Not trying isn't going to work. So here's a few tips hopefully it helps you. 1. Have acutal pictures of yourself. Funny memes or artwork here or there is cool but people might like to see who's behind the profile. 2. Verify your profile, it helps assure folks you are who you say you are. 3. Actually write something interesting in your profile/prompts. If you're dry in your profile people might think you'll be dry and boring in messaging. Also guys do better than the "hey" message, try to be interesting. I cannot speak for others but for me the "Just ask" prompt makes me just wanna move on most times. 4. Be honest and upfront with your intentions, again take me. I'm married/poly/open relationship all that jazz. That's front street on my profile also when I do get a Match I make sure to reiterate that within two or three messages. This lets everyone know exactly where you're coming from and no one is misled. 5. Men.....DONT BE A CREEP! I cannot believe in 2024 I still have to tell other men this. "Sup hotty"? "Yo sexy, what that mouth do"? Are not good conversation starters and are sure to derail you quick. Be charming, funny, interesting....At the very least have some class. 6. Lastly......BE PATIENT! So many of these posts are like "man, I been here 3 weeks and no one wanna hit me up". It's gonna take time. Especially if you're hoping to connect with a woman. Most women usually have hundreds and I mean hundreds of match requests they have to wade through. Sometimes some are gonna slip through. If your request times out, try again. There's a very good chance she just didn't see it in time. Almost nothing is a bigger turn off than men pouting and whining about not getting enough attention. Again I've been able to connect with 4 women. But honestly thats probably a success rate of less than 1 percent. I just remained patient and with two of them I re sent requests and kept trying. The woman I'm now dating was one of the ones I had to retry with. I hope these help some of you guys. Apps are hard to connect through but not impossible. If this Hispanic Danny Devito wannabe can do it, you can too.
