Is a question I get when I talk to people and a mutual interest is developing. I've been single since 2019. Here we go? 1. My last "real" relationship was a hella toxic marriage. Well, no. It wasnt all bad. It was actually REALLY good for most of it, but the end was horrible and it broke me. (And when i look back, and Im honest with myself I have to womder if things were really as good as i like to think. But that's neither here nor there.) Losing that relationship nearly destroyed me. I made a lot of choices in the aftermath that were just not good. I dated people after that and I had a boyfriend, but it didn't work out because I was unhealed and i didnt know how to be on my own. The 2 years that follow are a BLUR. 2. I needed time to heal. Clear my head. Go to therapy. Get sober. All of that. 3. I needed time to rebuild. Get my life back on track. Figure out who the hell I am by myself. 4. I needed to focus on my kids and regain perspective on what's important. These are the reasons I've been single and now I'm taking things very slowly. I will not rush into anything. I will not be rushed. Rushing things makes me feel like there is some emotional immaturity and it's a great way to run me off.
