Here's a very intriguing concept that I came across recently is the idea of karmic debt. When you generated karma (either good or bad) in previous encarnations of yourself (past lives) and it carries with you in this life, which could be an explanation as to why specific life events happen, or why things fall apart or why you get rewarded randomly. My question would be this; Is there a way to make peace with the debt or have it be repaid so you don't get tormented anymore and if so how? Otherwise are we just doomed to carry it with us into the next life?

Buddhist here, I'll try my best to give you an answer, but it's a complicated subject with many different interpretations and schools of thought. My understanding is that Karma is intention, and the results of that intention. Karma isn't God's judgement, but a natural process of life that affects every living being on the planet. It does effect your next life in the cycle of rebirth, but it isn't some logical process of "good is rewarded, evil is punished" because the world isn't logical or black and white. Evil is often rewarded, and good people often suffer. However, your intention, and the actions that are the result of this intention, effect the world you live in, and will ultimately be reborn in. Karma is the seed our past lives have planted, and depending on your actions, can either bear fruit or wither up. However, the ultimate goal in the long run isn't just to gain positive karma, but to break the cycle of rebirth and obtain enlightenment.

Karma is a manifestation of the energy you put out in previous lives. Whether positive or negative it nudges your life experiences in positive or negative directions. Meditation, chakra cleansing, meridian cleansing, and a lot of patience. The more positively you face your challenges, the quicker you'll overcome the karmic muck to become your own master. Awareness is crucial, expound upon it. Understanding the concept of emergence is key to understanding everything. These concepts will connect you with boundless sources of wisdom. If you're open minded enough I would suggest learning how to summon and speak with beings you resonate with. If you look into the depths of any religion or practice you will find that the founders did exactly that before most religions covered it up later.
