I'm single because I refuse to remarry, so dating is mostly a bleak experience. And I am not attracted to most people (society is nasty, with everyone sleeping around with everyone). Oh, and I'm very cynical when it comes to relationships. I don't think anyone could every truly love me. And who would want me to be a part of their life anyway? I don't know how to be whatever it is others want me to be, anymore.😕 (edited)

No the people that think they like me don't actually do, it's just like a passing Crush thing, if anything. They just need to talk to me for a little bit, they'll get over it quick. And if I actually like someone, if I have an interest in them, I will actively try to be their friend. I don't really pursue people and the typical fashion, of oh I want to date this person, I want to be friends with them first. I guess I've never really understood the concept of not actually wanting to be friends with the person you're dating. I think that's where I kind of had a problem in the past where they didn't really want to be my friend, they just wanted to go out with me which seems counterproductive.
