I do have alopecia and for quite a while I would constantly wear wigs and or hats but when I went to school I mainly wore hats to school though but there was one time during my senior year of high school and we had a new substitute teacher who didn’t know that the school had made those accommodations for me and my friends didn’t really know how bad it truly was but the substitute teacher got so angry she literally ripped off my beanie hat and my hair was exposed to the whole class I had never felt so embarrassed in my whole life but i decided to embrace my alopecia and decided to no longer wear hats or wigs to school I decided to show my hair the way it was as scary as it was everyone was very comfortable and supportive towards me and it goes to show that no matter what you are beautiful hair or no hair

Hi Maggie... Excited to hear from you. I've had alopecia not for about 30 years... And believe me have had a lot of ugly things said to me. I've just met the most wonderful mm sn that had embraced me for who I am completely. We met here in Boo.... I'm making plans to have my scalp tattooed
