Why do you complain about online dating yet online date? If you hate it so much why wouldn't you try other approaches like idk approaching people in person? I'm not saying it's easy but I'm also not the one complaining. I just don't understand how you can do the one thing you so desperately despise is all. Help me understand 😭

Social anxiety is probably part of it. Also it's the "easiest" way to meet new people and not get into awkward situations. Lots of choices could be another reason. So it's a good mix of a lot of stuff. My opinion anyways.

Hmmm several reasons. For me, I'm disabled. So getting out isn't really a thing anymore for me. But people are more truthful about themselves online. Making red flags much more blatant to see. It saves time. Also, with in-person dating, theres a caveat. Seen plenty of friends (even myself) become victims of societal gossip. You date one girl and have a horrible experience, any girls within her social influence now hear only her side of the story and now you're dating pool is dry. Usually guys aren't good at fighting gossip and generally will pick the path of least drama (run if you find a guy thats used to it. They are most likely narcs.) I've had a couple bad experiences with that. One girl had a psycho sister who did anything to make sure her sister didn't get a boyfriend. And another girl who liked humilating guys in public (I found out too late). Found out later she had a mental problem. Had countless friends who had relationships and that went south and all of a sudden their "friends" turned on them or distanced themselves. I hear girls say all the time how much they have to lose in a bad relationship. But the guys lose friends, support systems, respect, freedom (jail), finances (divorce), children (divorce), assets (divorce), livlihood, businesses, and careers if a girl goes nuts. And domestic violence on guys is ignored if a girl spins a story. Only real chance a guy has if those take a nosedive is to start all over amd disappear. That or have a high charisma and ability to bum off others, but those typically tend to be narcs. Most guys aren't 10/10 making 100,000 a year. Better to be safe and single than be living a literal hell. Some things are better not left to chance.
