Finally playing Mass Effect for the 1st Time Ever

Question

Yes, the first one, I promise I’m going in order!

NO SPOILERS please (despite this game being old now 😅), I genuinely have no idea what the plot entails or which characters are going to be important, so I’m excited.

I grew up on the Dragon Age games and my high school friends used to always tell me I’d love Mass Effect; well, here’s me passing the torch and urging all ME fans to play Dragon Age if they haven’t.

Start with Origins! 😄

The original trilogy of mass effect is pretty good. It loses rpg elements as the games go on, and the writing does fall off a bit on the third one but still good.

I love Mass Effect! One of the greatest game trilogies of all time. I'm so happy for you to finally get to experience it! I played DA: Inquisition awhile back but never finished it. make sure you get to max level before you start the second game, that way when you start the second game you have extra skill points at the beginning 🦖

Of the Dragon Age games, the only one that I didn't do was Origins ( not sure why), just started it and then stopped not long after.
Mass Effect however - plowed through the Shep trilogy like a champ!  Need to jump back in Andromeda though.

Are you playing the Legendary edition of ME or the original Mass Effect 1?

I'm excited for you.  These are probably my four -as of now- favorite games ever with Fallout 3 and 4, and KOTOR I and II close behind.

I've played each game through several times and completed just about every DLC add-on available.  One good thing about playing them now is that you will be able to play the third game through and not have to experience the painfully half-assed ending Bioware presented those of us who played through the initial release with.
