What was your first video game?

Tell me about your nostalgic memories and what made you fall in love with gaming!! For me; When I was a kid our uncle let us play Gears of War 3. It was a secret from our parents because we weren’t allowed to play violent games. I fell in love with Clayton Carmine of course,, still do love him :P

My first game was Star Wars BattleFront on the PlayStation 2 and then my first PlayStation 1 game was Duke Nukem Time to Kill, my first on the PlayStation 3 was GTA 4

My first console was the NES and it came with a wide selection of games. I can’t remember which was my first but I spent a lot of time playing Super Mario Bros, Zelda, Tiger Heli, as well as many others. (edited)

I think my first was like pong or something, I don’t even remember, lol. The one I have the most memories with though was SNES Super Mario World. It was our first real console, and it was a ‘family’ gift one Christmas that I shared with my two sisters, and it was something we could sit and do together that wasn’t tearing each other’s hair out. Mom even enjoyed it, which was interesting. 30 years later and she’ll still brag about that one time she actually reached the end and beat Bowser.

My parents are what got me into gaming. Ever since I was a wee child my parents played all kinds of games. From Mario, Zelda, Kirby. To Crash and Spyro. Even games like Chrono Triggers, Breath of Fire and Mario Party. And even games like Devil May Cry and Resident Evil. To name a few. But growing up seeing all these games, these different stories, verity and styles. Maybe me really interested in video games and couldn't wait till I was old enough play them. And ever since then been gaming have hundreds of not thousands of games. As for my first official video game I'd say Link to the Past.

Oh I think it has to be the original Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega Master System. Still blows my mind that the game was built into the console and would play automatically when you don’t insert a cartridge!

Duck hunt was technically the very first thing I played by myself...but I grew up watching my dad play Resident Evil, then that basically got me started on being interested in video games in general. (edited)

As a kid I remmebr seeing my older cousins playing chrono trigger and I remembered the music and graphics but didn't know the name for years and when I had the opportunity to play it, it was life changing.

I'm actually kind of sad now because I can't remember for sure, but it was probably either Tetris or Pokemon blue played on a Gameboy color, or Mario kart 64. My dad and older brother got my mom a nintendo 64 for mother's day. It was definitely a gift for themselves more than for her 😬😂

Atari 2600 for me in home systems if you mean visual gaming. Galaga at the arcade. My first game I played on a computer system of any kind was a text adventure game on the Commodore 64. (edited)
