Are Triple A Game Developers being lazy and profiteering from Nostalgia? Or is this what we as gamers want?

You've got the Star Wars Battlefront games being Remastered, Tomb Raider Trilogy Remaster, we've had the Tony Hawk games Remastered, no doubt there will be a Need for Speed Remastered. Not sure if there was a Far Cry 3 remaster in the works or that's probably clickbait... but regardless, so many Remastered games from childhood! Is this because the quality of games that have come out in recent times from Triple A titles have been flops (Battlefield 2042, The Star Wars Battlefront remakes, Any recent Need For Speed) and we as gamers are crying out for games like we had on older consoles? ... and actual decent games are being made by indie developers (PalWorld?) I feel like the timeline of events is; Developers cut corners to save time/money -> produced poor games or rushed them (Cyberpunk) -> gamer backlash -> Cuts/losses to jobs -> release more bad games due to short staff, relying on future DLC packs -> gamers say "We wish you made games like you used to" -> Devs make remasters. I'm quite happy playing older titles for now, but wish new titles that came out now gave me the love for video games like it once did. I'm not a massive gamer any more btw, and don't know if this is the case for all genres like JRPGs, Final Fantasy games etc. Let me know what you think. Final question: Wheres the Simpsons Hit and Run remaster? 😂
