Google translate before the conversation, try to pronounce it. They will correct you. Next day say it again, they feel happy. Third day, google translate the continuation of the conversation, try to pronounce it, they will correct you. Next day say it again, they feel happy again. I am learning german, dutch, polish and icelandic this way. (edited)

Good question. Easy for me to learn Latin or Cyrillic based alphabet language from an app. But it's very hard to learn language like Chinese from any mobile app, because pronunciation often doesn't match the sound how latinized (romanized) words of chinese sounds. A very simple example of it: 的 sounds like "Da", but it's written as "De". In latinized Japanese there are fewer mistakes like "私は教師で" which's latinized version is "Watashi wa kyo'oshidesu", actually sounds like "Watashi wa Kyooshides" and not "desu"
