I definitely prefer Gary Jules' cover a lot more. I actually thought Tears For Fears was the cover version before lol. But i do like both.
I prefer Dolly Parton's original, however. Divavocals with too much unnecessary input don't really sit well with me.

Definitely. Most of the songs from the Punk Goes Pop albums are much better, in my opinion. Then there are stuff like Natalie Imbrouglia's Torn, which is 1000x more known than the original.
I'd say the cover i feelsounds better than the original by the largest margin is Yuna's cover of Drake's 'Hold On, We're Going home.'
A cover i like better than the original, while still liking the original a whole lot would be BlackVeil Brides' cover of Billy Idol's 'Rebel Yell.' The song fits the theme of both musicians perfectly; in twodifferent eras.

@C.R.Mıʇʇǝns I might like the original better, actually haha. Sometimes, bands overdo it. This is an example 😝. Also, not much of a fan of deathcore. It's listenable, though. Go and get Spotify; promise it's worth it haha. I've got a playlistfull of worthy covers.
