Is music the highest art form?

I’ve been thinking alot recently about different art forms, specifically books, and filmmaking, and adaptations. Personally, I am for filmmaking over books because I think the visual is so powerful, but the more I think about it, the more I conclude that music might just be the greatest art of them all. My argument is mainly personal however - sometimes when I listen to a song, it can bring me to tears, or put me in a great mood, and when I think about all the movies that have affected me emotionally, I always come back to the sounds and the soundtrack. I can’t dispute though, that the right music with the right visual can create an effect more powerful even than just the music on its own. Perhaps I’m blathering on, and this is too deep a question for a Monday (here in the UK) but I’m interested to hear people’s views,
