Basically games that leave you emotionally drained, mentally exhausted, or a feeling of emptiness, given the well executed philosophical backgrounds of their lore.
For example, SOMA or Planescape: Torment.

Hardspace: Shipbreaker. A space game about literally breaking apart ships, but with such an incredible story about corporation power and corruption, unsafe work conditions and practices, and fighting for better worker rights. This is all on top of the great voice acting, music, and impressive visuals. It’s a shame that it is a fairly short game, but damn does it feel good to finish.
