To an extent. Anything that is of value, and will better your life, comes at a cost. When you seek wisdom/knowledge, you will likely feel a bit of melancholy, when you come to see how temporary, meaningless (and superficial) a lot of this world is. And when you seek to better yourself, loneliness will also be a price you pay. You'll start to lose friends, family, groups, and even see interests fade and fall away.

For me, there are two ways to look at that question: 1. Either through the eyes Marvin the Paranoid Android (one of my most favorite fictional characters) and become sad because of the absence of peers who are on the same level in terms of intellect, experience and knowledge, and witnessing every single mistake the others make in front of you Or 2. Take your ego out of it, living by your own principles, and teach whomever seeks your help how to help themselves

To be stupid doesn't prevent sadness. To be ignorant to something (different than the first sentence) also doesn't prevent sadness. We all experience sadness at least once to learn what it is - directly or indirectly. By monitoring indirectly we can do what we wish to avoid the same degrees of 'sadness'. Emotions are subjective and what makes me sad might not effect someone else at all. This in itself I would think allows for wisdom. That specific wisdom isn't coupled with sadness. Knowledge doesn't always bring wisdom. If you have wisdom, you choose what to do with it. Sadness is a byproduct of choices not accepted fully or the ones of lack luster.

I want.....to say I disagree....🤔 Wisdom....comes from experience....yes there will be sad moments but the sadness doesn't stay. Or at least personally. Wisdom comes without emotion attached. Or else it isn't wisdom. Wisdom CAN harbor some feelings but then that would imply healing is in need in order for the feelings to not be passed onto the one who listens. But that is why wisdom is to be taken carefully bc even help can be taken as a sting than a helping hand. Wisdom is helpful and yet dangerous I find....so much to assess when giving....its why the wise just spread their wisdom in hopes that someone will one day understand what they truly mean. Bc to fully access the mindset of each person in order to make minor changes for wisdom to fit every mindset would take EONS! But that's what makes our lives unique. ☺
