Cowardice is around us
They say war reveals a man's true nature. Some stand, some fall, and some—most—vanish into the shadows, whispering about principles, safety, and futures they won’t have to fight for. They wrap their fear in rationalizations, avoiding mirrors that might show them what they really are: not pacifists, not thinkers, but cowards. And the worst kind? Those who talk loud in times of peace, playing warriors in bars and forums, until the country calls. Then, suddenly, they believe in running, hiding, waiting for someone else to bleed in their place. A man who cowers before duty—what is he, if not already lost?

I joined the Air Force just to protect the people I love and KNEW I had the sickle cell. If they told me I could go back I'm ready for another hell served for breakfast sandwich too. I even tried to participate in the Ukrainian conflict also. Wherever I am needed by my country, please call on me to go. I tried it with "by a woman's side" but soon found out that I wasn't needed there. So I'm waiting now for the Air Force to take me back. I'm ready as I'll ever be for round two. They better get it right and kill me good this time if they can or I'm going to "change their minds" with my ENTP bullet debating. If that doesn't work? Well I suppose I'll have to use my nuclear option; my mind. I've kept it polished, but haven't used it as a weapon as much these days because who cares? (edited)

Self preservation it's like the first thing as living beings we tend to. Talking about things as inconsistent and prone to be subjectively interpreted like "honor" "duty" "bravery" Those are words that mean literally nothing and whose purpose it's just manipulate people. Make them feel important, make them think that their actions will always be remembered and singed through the ages. Make them think that dying right now will make them immortal. You can have some valid points in: if we don't fight then bad thing happens like when fighting nazis or whatever. And that's true, but they used the same methods with them, it's always the same structure. Hey you! We need you to [insert cause] we could do it other way but my ambition and hunger for power is too much so you, yes you! Will die for my ideals. But it's not that bad because you will be a [insert something that sounds heroic], everyone will remember your [insert something like bravery] and you know how much people like sacrifices. So what are you waiting for? Come on, die for me, anonymous person which I couldn't care less. (edited)

The surest thing that kills war is non involvement, as wars always require people. There is certainly a time to fight, when peace loving communities come under attack by relentless war mongerers because the peaceful are often injured, die, or suffer horrible trauma and tragedy whern war is forced upon them. In theory self defense is needed, and violent push back, and sometimes what is needed is the rallying of all who stand for peace to exhile the warmonger era, cut them off from the world that nourishes them and make it hard for them till they realise biting the hand that is feeding them and its members is to be a cancer and cancer dies when the host starves it, if the host has a system to starve it. Some organisms have such a system so cancer never gets powerful, and some organisms don't. We could apply such a system to the world but as long as we don't people are left to be throttled by bullies without consequence and the only defense is to fight with equal force, and an imbalance in the number of casualties. Prevention is better than a cure, and prevention often requires an understanding a preparedness and a plan. Humans are still in the era of war, but once we do create a system war will rarely be a huge part of our times, we just havnt crossed that road yet, it is what it is but repeating the same old actions without updating the plan would have us living in this era of war in definately, more wars, more soldiers, more death, more broken families. I think there is a place for it to be dealt with intelligently on the global scale, I think its possible, it's just a matter of when will we finally get there (edited)
