To all my 🍃heads
What kind of existential/thought provoking...thoughts pop into your head when by yourself with a blunt? I've been mewing over this seemingly growing obsession with receiving. I think we all know good it feels to give someone a gift of any kind. It feels good to see their face light up. That joy and appreciation can be so softening. We also know good it feels to be thought about or taken into enough consideration for someone to give us something. But it seems like we as people are becoming more concerned with what the world can do for us vs what we can do for the world. Maybe it's my circle, but if that's the case what does that say about my socioeconomic status and the people that live in it? As a young, poor, qpoc, I've wrestled with this thought so often. Are people in lower socioeconomic groups more likely to feel this way bc we don't have much to give? What about on the side? People with money and status. Why do they want even more? Why is the thought sharing the wealth so unbecoming to them? And what about you? What kinda questions pop into your head?

I agree people are becoming more concerned with what the world can do for us vs what we can do for the world. I feel like when people are worried about essentials like food or shelter, they tend to get meaner and more seflish. Both poor and rich people act that way if they're worried about their future. I consider how to someone in a rural village without a chance at education and no access to technology, the life of anyone on Boo (who all can read and have access to the internet) seems beyond luxurious. They might ask, "Why do they want even more?" Yet many people on Boo feel like someone should be giving to them. That relativity is why a lot of people you and I consider rich might consider themselves with their back against a wall and in survival mode. As a society, we need to have a culture of improving the world and caring for each other so everyone feels like they have support and their back is never against a wall. That type of environment, where mamy people are happy, educated, and motivated to help, is how you end up with a Renaissance or Scottish Enlightenment.

*coughs* been awhile. Always seemed to clear my mind, for an eternity, if even for a second. Seem to almost see through...then bam back again. And then it's all Rock and Roll and Jesus in my head and focusing on the one small point that's always directly in front of me no matter which way I turn. Tantracism usually pops into my head.
