Master’s Program

This was said to me when I told a few guys at my mates birthday gathering that I have a bachelors, a masters and im doing an integrated degree while working full time in a laboratory to become a registered scientist. 

Had a great time informing them that I didnt do all this for a man - a man is never an end goal for me but despite not looking i found an amazing partner over a year ago. I just overachieve in everything i do I guess 🤣

I'm in the UK. I sent a email 2 days ago regarding an incident that happened and am yet to recive an apology or reply. Yet they can send a public apology within hours about a change in pudding on Dojo ( Parent communication app ) 🤔 this email was addressed and sent to 3 separated people...none have responded what would you do?

My student's little sister is 20months old and very smart. 

She runs around me when I sit on the floor tuning her sister's violin and this week came right up to me and leaned on my side to see what i was doing. 

Her grandma told her not to touch or she'd break it but i said it was OK. At first she didn't know what to do and was pressing the fingerboard like it was a button to start something. 

I showed her with my finger that you could strum the strings and her face lit up at the sound! She eagerly grabbed my hand and started strumming the violin with my finger. 

After running around and coming back, she decides to strum the violin with her own finger. Her little happy face had us all in fits of giggles. 

Grandma asked me when we can start her on the violin and I said it looks like she's already began! 

Grandma also told me that she had a go on my students violin and I said if she would like any tips, she could let me know

Today, I visited a school again and had conversations with the students about education—especially in Indonesia—along with their dreams and the goals they hope to achieve in the future. I truly hope that education in my country becomes more equally accessible for everyone.

Hierarchy

I think I found a place where I'll hang out a lot. It's a Chinese tea place, it's my third time here. This time I'm by myself.

I find it really difficult, doing something when no one's around, validating no one but the person in the mirror, treating myself like someone I'm responsible for helping.

I also want to associate a certain thing, that I've stressed about a lot with peace. Not a technique I read about, but the one I'm really eager to try.

Tell me one thing I didn’t  know yesterday !?

In this era of upskilling -  where posting an educational milestone is celebrated more on Linkedin then investment in skills and qualification - whats your education level

I have 1 Doctorate,  2 Masters, 1 undergraduate degree, 2 Diplomas [equivalent of associate degree], among numerous certifications. Looking back I should have put that school fees in a mutual fund.

But will  i do further studies definitely , maybe a double Major Masters or PHd. Yap its my addiction.

I have a student who is Deaf with cochlears. She is an absolute powerhouse and is learning one of the hardest instruments to play. She is thorough and hardworking but most importantly,  enjoys her lessons and has found her confidence.

Although she can hear me, I would love to learn more British Sign Language to be able to communicate when she is playing. I know a few words but it's hard to research musical terms in BSL. 

I wonder if anyone has any experience with BSL and I can pick their brains?
