Honest question: is anyone here interested in actual philosophy at all? Not hating on the other stuff posted but would be nice to have an actual discussion on real philosophers rather than “wordporn” and stuff. Maybe post below if there’s something interesting and distinctly philosophical you came across you’d like to discuss (edited)

For the most part, it is mostly insert random Marcus Aurelius qoute or "live laugh love" post, so if you're looking for deep philosophical discussions, you really have to look hard. That or play the role Socrates and go around challenging a lot peoples ideas,but most people work really hard on that "live laugh" post so I wouldn't recommend it (heh). I've had had some fun discussions from time to time.(See my comments) With some really unique thinkers, so they are on here. Though remember this is technically a dating app. Philosophy encompasses both the light and the dark, but very few go into the dark. (edited)

Literacy in regards to philosophy isn't there for most. I'm not claiming to even understand a lot of it, but I enjoy the subject. Eventually at some point with the nature of these apps all the interests people list or engage with can reductively be seen as virtue signaling. Is there anything wrong with that inherently? I don't think so, but it has the potential to lead to closed-mindedness.
