Personally, I don't think so. It may be possible if you're both single, or if everyone in your circle is mature. Because eventually, one of you are going to get married and in that context, a male/female friendship isn't that possible anymore... unless everyone is mature. Maturity takes a very high amount of knowledge and intelligence.

Definitely, but it's tricky. Only old friends. One of my best mates is a girl. But I'm not attracted to her physically. On the other hand if your wifewants to goout with some new dude from work for a coffee. Infidelity awaits.

It’s possible, and it shouldn’t be a controversialstatement.
The most common argument against it is that non-reciprocal, romantic interests tend to form between male-female friendships. I mean… sure? I guess. To be direct, the thought of romantic possibilities with my female friends sometimes passes my mind. I don’t ignore those thoughts, but I don’t pursue them either. The dynamics of real-life interactions are what determines what my relationships become. If nothing naturally leads to romance, then romance won’t happen. Likewise, if good times as friends is the mainvibe, then I am more than happy to keep things that way.

Yes one of my longest friendships is with a woman. However my two best friends were a couple and we'd been great friends for 5 years, and a few weeks ago she came on to me, I had to tellhim and then it went sour from there.

It could be shared interests. Friendships often form around common interests or activities. Gender doesn't determine one's interests or hobbies, so men and women can easily connect over shared passions.
