Bare Minimum isn't BAD because...
Here's the thing I keep seeing people complain about. BARE MINIMUM. The problem is, what is the bare minimum in the first place? And why is it that we can't accept it? Let's say you wanted to eat out. You can say you'd never eat at a fast food restaurant because you want to take care of your health. So, you either want to eat at a family restaurant (worst choice) or some fine dining (best choice). If you chose to eat at the family restaurant, which in this case is the BARE MINIMUM, how is that a bad thing? You still got to eat healthily. It was still good food. It wasn't something you'd be disgusted by. It was entirely your choice. But would you still regret not going for fine dining? If all you were after was fine dining, especially if you were broke and could never afford it, why do you still go for it? If all you can afford was the family restaurant. And you know it wasn't a bad place to eat like the fast food restaurant, especially with what you can afford, why can't you be grateful for it? The BARE MINIMUM height to ride a roller coaster is the lowest you need to be to ride that roller coaster. Imagine someone being of the bare minimum height and still can't ride, even though those were the rules set by the management. Wouldn't that be weird? I've dated some great people and also some what people would call the bare minimum people. I still enjoyed the dates. The only reason we couldn't go for the long-term was because our values and goals were different and we couldn't compromise on it. But I still accepted them, not despite they were the bare minimum, but because they were the bare minimum. As long as they were not below the bare minimum, I'd accept them. Mind you, my BARE MINIMUM might not be the same as yours, but trust me when I say I'm being realistic and honest about it to my potential partners. If they can't accept it, then we stay friends and wouldn't date. It's simple. But if we do date and they are truly the BARE MINIMUM, and then some other person comes along who is FAR ABOVE BARE MINIMUM saying they want me, I'd stay loyal to the BARE MINIMUM. Imagine you want an umbrella to go to work on a rainy day, and you use your trusty old umbrella because all you care about is getting to work without getting soaked. On the way, you see a beautiful new umbrella at a nearby shop. Would you discard your old umbrella to buy that new umbrella, even though both have achieved your BARE MINIMUM of making you not wet under the rain? If the old umbrella can no longer work for you, get the new umbrella. If the old one still works, there's no need to change. That's how I think and why I wouldn't dump my BARE MINIMUM partner for someone who seems much better than them. They meet my requirements, and I'm grateful for that, so I'll just accept them until the end. At least that's how I view it. What are your thoughts?

Your conception of "BARE MINIMUM" suggests to me that you have put forth the bare minimum effort toward comprehending 'bare minimum'. It seems likely to me that you were dumped for being 'bare minimum' and to justify your lackluster efforts toward your former partner, you prepared a projection to post to pull on public pathology. Putting forth the extra effort to make it extra long to compensate and distract from it being telling of your slothful nature and hopefully be your scapegoat if you were to be called out on it. "Look how much nonsense I typed! I am SO NOT BARE MINIMUM!" (edited)
