All government representatives shall be subject to the minimum wage laws of their respective states. 2. Government representatives shall receive compensation for their service in accordance with the minimum wage of their state, regardless of any other sources of income. 3. Any government representative who receives monetary contributions from Super PACs or similar entities shall be subject to an increased tax rate on such contributions, as determined by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) based on the amount received. I really like the sentiment behind the bill. The issue I see is that by restricting the pay of elected officials this much you are actually discouraging anyone that isn't already independently wealthy that can afford to not take a financial hardship. It shouldn't be one, minimum wage should be livable. But since only the rich will take the job, it will never go up. Screw superpacs though, all on board for that.

Sounds good on paper. Unfortunately no law maker will fall on their sword to understand the people that they rely on for votes. As well section 3 sub 2 can be argued as they will receive an additional stipend for the amount of the minimum wage of their respective state. I do like the increased tax rate for taking special interest. Again looks good on paper, if they didn't write the tax law and have an accountant in staff. Donations would go through the roof as every senator and representative started donating millions to be able to cancel out their increased tax rate with a tax write off....
