It honestly bothers me that people believe that materialism such as money is the sole provider of stability when that couldn't be further from the truth. Stability does not come from money and money alone.

I can never truly understand someone who has a desire for the fakeness of the world, like materialism, greed, etc. maybe they're trying to fill a void but what they're doing to fill that void is just using another void on top of it.

Truly what worth do these desires have? They don't give you true eternal happiness, contentness, pleasure, joy, anything truly substantial and that has worth, etc. in fact they give nothing but misery and fake temporary feelings. I've honestly always held absolutely no desire for anything materialistic or worldly desires. Like I can never understand how someone would desire materialism and worldly desires as if its gonna make them happy but in reality it's just filling a void in them with temporary fleeting feelings.
