Do soulmates exist? Or is it all conditioning? Could a random person stumble upon your profile, or mine and be inundated with the feeling of being complete.? As if we/they have stumbled across our/their missing half.? Or is love a byproduct of moments that allowed bonds to be created? Do we have a choice in who we love? Certainly, love exists within a spectrum. From the love of your pet, to the enjoyment of a favorite meal. Surely a soulmate would envelop the entirety of the spectrum. Or, is it a sense of comfortability and safety that leads us to the feeling of love.? Is it all by chance? Or, is it methodically created through repetition? Is it a game of cards? Or are we waiting to win the lottery? I hope to one day find my missing half, maybe I just need to wait awhile longer. In the mean time, I will just keep scrolling, who knows I might get lucky....

Kinda did happen here. I'd commented on some pictures, the guy messaged me, I said, flattered but there's an age difference and he said "you will give me one day to prove myself!" Something in me wouldn't let me say no. Fast forward a year, he's my favorite human, my best friend, the person I tell my secrets to, the person whose secrets I know, we spend hours a day on the phone, babbling or in comfortable silence. It exists. It may not be the form you expect. Accept it.
