When you realize...

decades ago I got Chessmaster 10th edition. Went through all the tutorials. I now understand enough of the game to know why I'm terrible at it. I inherently want to move fast, not giving the enemy time to strike. But timing doesn't play in to chess as its turn based, not time based. Also in… read more

When you're want alot of volume in your hair and is willing to walk around looking like some kind of space creature 🤣, for the life of me I can't figure out how to position these volume clips and the tutorials on YouTube don't help.

ISO makeup YouTubers

I’m interested in watching and practicing more with makeup but don’t know where to start! My skin is prone to dryness and only slightly uneven, I have some of the basic supplies; foundation, eyeshadow, liner, mascara, etc- but I’d wanna go for fairly light and natural/cat eye looks for my skin tone… read more

Why?

Why would you be into someone who doesn't know how to cook?... Just image. You get sick. Who else would cook? You die and you have little kids. Who else would cook? Is not about gender roles. Is about being able to step in and have basic survival skills. Cooking is one of the most basic things… read more

First attempt 🙃

Spent the last few weeks drawing lines and circles 😂 trying to learn how to get use to a graphics tablet. Now I’m finally attempting some original character design. Tutorials seemed to be a waste of time because I was learning skills I was physically unable to recreate. Like learning to draw… read more

Trying to do better

Considering I started using procreate less than a year ago. And these 2 were made roughly 3 months apart, I'd say I've come a long way. Definitely need to work on hands, feet, and faces but it's on the list. Any tips, tricks, or links to tutorials would always be appreciated. Or even your drawing… read more

Gaming

For years now, there’s been a persistent rumor within the game development industry: that console players are becoming progressively less skilled, and therefore increasingly dependent on simplifications and assistance systems. Features like extensive hand-holding tutorials, heavy aim assist, auto… read more

My Week in Delays and Questionable Decisions

It wasn’t a perfect start to the week — I was late for the second time since starting this job. It wasn’t my fault, I swear. I leave the house an hour before I start just so I can catch at least two buses that should get me there in time. The first one was a no-show and the second was late, but… (edited) read more

My "sidetracks" this week, and current progress on gamedev

These last few months, I've been studying "ORK RPG Framework" for my indie gamedev projects. Doing some tutorials, I'm currently at the final part of the "Status System Setup" ORK Framework tutorial. After this, just one more ORK tutorial before I resume my projects! 😺 I didn't make *even more*… read more

Making a 3D map

Didn't get nearly as much done today as I planned. A friend hijacked my afternoon. We ended up grabbing pizza and salad, and somewhere between bites he casually goes, "So... one of my friends wanted to know if you're single." I started laughing because it felt like something straight out of a TV… read more

I finally decided I was tired of feeling tired desire to learn how to skate, (I've been itching to learn for years) and I finally invested in roller skates and safety gear this month! I have ZERO previous experience in any form of skating, so I've been falling in my room quite a lot lol. I've been… read more
