Jacqueline du Pré

On this day 1945, cellist Jacqueline Mary du Pré was born in Oxford. I recommend that you listen to her iconic 1965 recording of Elgar's Cello Concerto in e minor op.85, with Sir John Barbirolli conducting the London Sympgony Orchestra. (edited)
