Fiance cheated

I got engaged once, 3 months after engagement. I caught my fiance cheating with her ex that used to abuse her. I was so heartbroken for several weeks. I even saved up plenty of money for our wedding and down payment for a home. One day one of my one of my best girl friends from high school reached… (edited) read more

CoD MW4 Beta Thought?

Did anyone else play the beta either or both weekends? What were your thoughts? I personally thought it was good, I enjoyed the movement and new mechanics but have heard a lot of negative chatter on Reddit. It was nice to be back in game for a bit, and I'm reworking my way through the reboots now… read more

You found the right people if you can be relaxed around them in silence.

Cherish ones you have now whom you can sit with in silence without feeling anxious and nervous, and hope you find others to provide the same thing. I get it though, there's an innate belief that some form of engagement is needed, and the fear of being silence leads to boredom or negative thoughts.

Yikes

Low-key just seeing decent guys with no engagement, and mid girls with tons of attention 🫠 Which is funny because irl the opposite is true often

Do you really want a partner, a link?

Focus on one option (not one person, but the kind of link you are looking for...) not on a list of attributes showing off). The more options your brain have, the less it is interested in continue for more engagement. These have the name of dopamine system. And they help us to choose between easy… (edited) read more

I have a question: on which finger and hand do people in other countries wear their wedding rings?💍🤔💅

Do they have separate engagement and wedding rings? Here in Thailand, we usually have both an engagement ring and a wedding ring, and they are worn on the left ring finger. I’m not married myself—I’m single—but I wear a ring on my left ring finger because my index finger started getting sore from… read more

WHY?

Why is honesty raw, unguarded truth so difficult for human beings to offer? Why does speaking plainly feel more dangerous than remaining silent or shaping reality into something easier to bear? Even the smallest lie, spoken to protect or to avoid pain, bends the world ever so slightly. And when… read more

Defining a Gaming Masterpiece: My Take on Randy Pitchford’s Hot Take

I recently read an article where Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford claimed he doesn’t think a single masterpiece game has ever been made. What he actually said was: “I’m talking about the entire industry. Like, we haven’t even had our Citizen Kane yet, let alone, you know, Jurassic Park or Star… (edited) read more

You don't live anymore. You perform

Social media didn't expose people. It exposed their emptiness. A generation that once lived for memories now lives for witnesses. If nobody sees it, it suddenly feels like it never happened. People no longer buy things because they need them. They buy them because they need strangers to know they… read more

Swipe right for loss

We once gave our attention freely— a glance, a letter, a lingering call. Now every silence is measured, every friendship becomes engagement, every tenderness a market to be entered. Even loneliness has a subscription. And somewhere beneath the metrics, the old human ache remains: to be known… read more

A thread for chatting

I wish to see how much engagement a thread specifically created to chat with others in can gain. Any topics, so long as they're respectful and appropriate.

Same words. Same pain. Different reactions

A man says, "I had a really bad day." Three likes. No comments. Silence. A woman says the exact same thing. Hundreds of comments. Thousands of reactions. "Are you okay?" "Stay strong." "We're here for you." Before anyone gets offended, this isn't about blaming women. It's about pointing out a… read more

Bad Book

What is a recent book that you’ve read that just was not good? —————————————- For example, mine was Erin Morgenstern’s “The Night Circus.” It was just so bad. The same algorithm..

I saw this story from a website. I liked it. What do you think?

Right now, I’m talking to someone, and we have a somewhat unconventional perspective on relationships.
