You ask me "how are you?" Maybe because you can see I'm not OK, you see I'm sad, you see I'm lost looking off into space or you may really want to know how I'm doing. But do you really? Do you really care? Are you just asking to ask? Are you asking to make me feel like you still care. Because when i tell you that I am not OK, I'm depressed, I feel sad, or just shake my head and look away... What you do next never helps, because you don't say anything, you walk away, you say OK. You do that deep sigh noise, you say Really? When you used to hug me, kiss me, hold my hand, hold me, ask me what you can do, just be close to me, and the most important thing that you used to do would be to ask me with concern in your voice, "what's wrong?" Then proceed to listen and talk to me about what's going on! You don't do that. Why do I stay?
