Today marks Vietnamese Women’s Day to celebrate the contribution of women to the nation & society. Women spent 2.5 times as many hours on unpaid domestic and care work as men, both in developing & developed countries (4:1 & 3:1, from OECD & UNWomen). These duties are often overlooked & a burden on women. What's more, when in a relationship, one partner is always going to be stronger than the other…physically, financially or emotionally, etc. we name it. Hence equality seems not a nice place/easy path for both. From your view, which way for all genders, including you, to tackle that burden? To bring about a better share of household stuff? Just so we/women have more time to fill up our cup...pause, read, stretch, walk, nap, nourish our soul not only on a special day but every day in our life. (edited)

I agree about the concept of sharing the shores . I did notice one thing though . i am not very intense into cleaning . this mean that having a vietnamese wife , i did notice that you like perfection . This tend to cause conflict between me cleaning shall we say the bare minimum and bothering my wife because it is not clean by her standard . I am not complaining or taking defense of VN men because i do know that you ladies have a lot of gains to make before achieving equality . Just presenting the problem of different perception inside the couple.

Kinda depends on the nature of the relationship and the people in it. If one person (regardless of who) is the exclusive bread winner I think it's unfair to expect them to work all day then come home and do half the chores. But if both parties work then things should be split close to evenly. Personally I wouldn't mind taking over a few extra chores even if both me and my partner are working because helping relieve her of stress is part of my love language. That said, I refuse to be in a relationship where i expected to work all day and still ce home to do all the chores. A relationship is about being equals, not being someone else's servant. (edited)

Hi everyone. Came on tiktok for one reason and ended up scrolling, and now I've came across this video about abortion and the main gist of it is that Wisconsin's politician is trying to reactivate a very old abortion law and it's supreme courts judge's comments.

A very interesting video in itself and makes you think about the very valid points the judge made.
