Writing goals

I'm working on a new fantasy novel at the moment and I just started the manuscript writing. Averaging 2 pages a night after I get kids to bed, so it's slow going, but I'm feeling positive about it!

Warsaw Old Town feels like a palimpsest — a manuscript rewritten over itself — brick pressings of hands no longer here but still warm.

A slightly senior colleague is using AI to write a portion of our manuscript for publication. Idk how to act! It has the weird AI dashes — and I also used an AI detector and some sentences are fully AI. I’m thinking of paraphrasing/replacing the sentences that are clearly AI generated quietly.

Any suggestions on how you would deal with this situation? She’s super busy and English isn’t her first language and our deadline is approaching quickly. It’s only a couple of sentences, some are back to back. Most of it is human though. Thanks!

The steps you take, not the time you spend, determine how far you go.

Progress is not a matter of waiting, but of choosing. A person sits down today and writes their first terrible chapter. In six months, they'll have a terrible first draft. In a year, they'll have a polished manuscript. Most others will still be getting ready.

Ive got like 4 major projects

Writings a pain, cause you get big ideas get really deep into them then BOOM. Writers block Like look at some the characters for my main manuscript, this should be 30% complete rn and im not even at 10% complete
