Rethink...

To be self centered isn't to be narcissistic, quite the opposite. Narcissism comes of a lack of self, a lack that requires overcompensation to "mean" something. What's up with narcissism these days

The majority of answers to today's qotd are extremely worrying and very telling.

It's going to take a while for most to find something tangible, if they can't find self-love... and excusing certain behaviour is as toxic as it gets. It’s hilarious how some people can’t take a simple compliment without turning it into a delusion of romantic interest.

“You’re too young.” “You’re too old.” “I already have a partner.” “I’m not looking for a relationship.” Who asked? I said you looked good, handsome, cool etc. I didn’t submit an application to date you. Not every compliment is an invitation, and assuming it is isn’t confidence; it’s narcissism… read more

Patriarchy...

Patriarchy gave narcissists a throne. Victimhood culture gave covert narcissists a wound to hide behind. Therapy language gave them a shield. So the real question is — did we actually solve the narcissism problem or just create a version that is harder to detect, harder to challenge, and hiding… read more

Soooooo.... I discovered a word that apparently nobody ever noticed was missing?

I had a feeling. And I couldn't quite place what that feeling was. Do I feel love? No... Do I like watching? Not that. What is it about it??? Well, it turns out I was thinking way too hard: I was experiencing the feeling that arrives when you finally notice something. The feeling that… read more
