Every event is like a problem to solve.

That's why sometimes we got two people living the exact same event, but one will deal good with it, whereas the other will earn another trauma. As an example, I can tell a small story that happened to me when I was 6 or 7 years old. We were playing football with friends. I didn't knew the rule because no one explained me. I thought it was just a team match again one goal. We played, I marked a goal. Then they told me "now you get out of the playground!". In a tone thay made me believe they were angry at me. Then they explained, as I insisted to play, "but I want to play too !", that I was qualified for the next level. In fact, they were not angry at me, but because they failed. And I was very anxious and sad until I understood the rules. I knew both what happened, why it happened, and why everyone felt the way they did. But still, I can tell this kind of situations happens a lot to everybody : they neither understand what happened, nor why, nor how others felt at the time. So some are keeping into their mind some grudge or some traumatic memories because of that. Another general example is about culture and beliefs. When you've learned something is good to do, then it is not a problem. But if you learned the same thing is not, then it is a problem. For example, when releasing a big burp at the and of the meal. For some, it is triumph. For other, an outrage. Some don't care. And some will laugh generously. But still, a simple burp can generate a lot of emotions, depending on how you've learned what it is. One possible solution for healing trauma is to understand differently what happened. Not necessarily saying "hey, it's was ok in fact !". But knowing how and why it happened, consequences, and knowing if this should be done or not. Understanding is one of the most important keys to solve thos problems. Learning and knowing ther might be others possibility, and not only thebone we experienced, is also a second major point. And third but not least, practicing new experiences to confirm it could happens better than previously. That's also why we need to change habits, if always failing at something. It didn't work again and again? Change the perspective, or try it elsewhere. Depending on what it is. And since experiences are helping, sometimes we need a good coach to lead us the right way. After all, we're all lifetime students.

I think even with psychotherapy in the back of my mind I will always crave that feeling of absolute freedom and lightness.
