Maybe relationships don’t last anymore because we live in a world where letting go has become easier than holding on. Where the moment things get tough, people walk away. Where the presence of countless options makes loyalty seem old-fashioned. Where the mindset is, ‘If you don’t accept me exactly as I am, then goodbye—I’m not changing for anyone.’

And listen, I’m not saying you should tolerate being hurt, disrespected, or undervalued. I’m not saying you should stay where you are breaking. That’s not love either. But what I am saying is that love today seems to be allergic to growth. People no longer apologize with sincerity, they don’t fight to repair what’s been damaged, and very few choose to stay and do the uncomfortable work. We romanticize the idea of walking away, but we rarely talk about the strength it takes to stay and grow through the mess.

Because real love isn’t perfect. It’s not constant butterflies or fairy tale moments. Sometimes, you’ll fall out of rhythm, sometimes you’ll get tired, sometimes the spark will dim—but that doesn’t mean it’s over. It means it’s time to rebuild, together.
