I thought I had created a safe space for my ex to talk to me about her issues that were affecting our relationship. She said she didn't want to because she felt like she would be a bad gf and ungrateful because in her eyes I already did a lot. So for me it feels like I did not do a good enough job. So I am going to try harder on being open and receptive as well as encouraging my next partner to let me know, I want to be able to fix the issues instead of let them fester in darkness.
