Am I the a**hole?

I am tired of getting told "I bet you won't respond" or similar sentiments. It sounds gross like you are either extremely insecure or trying to test me. If I see someone send a message like this, it's an immediate turn off. 🤢

Read effort, not words If someone replies consistently, engage. If they disappear, become inconsistent, or only respond when bored, don’t over-invest trying to “win” them back.

Why?

Why is it so difficult to talk to someone.. even when you try talking to them.. and they don't respond.. responding quickly does that count as taken for granting thing?
