From waiting to freedom

When going silent and stepping back from a relationship that is not working (call it ghosting or cutting off or whatever) I sometimes discover I am still mentally there. After getting hurt and pulling back. Waiting for a contact, an appology, or checking around to see what the person is doing. If… (edited) read more

Nobody talks about the late 30s to 40s personality shift, where you no longer want to be impressive. You want to be more rested, reserved, and completely unavailable to anything that draining.

a test for consciousness

i have a strange idea. general anesthetic effects lipids on cell membranes and puts people and plants both to sleep it disrupts calcium ion gates and therefor voltage flow into and out of cells and consciousness goes plop. now im wondering if we rested these gates on the schizophrenia spectrum… read more

Ending the day with happiness

Well I relaxed and rested until evening and then I got some work done because I felt too bad without getting something productive done. I am trying to learn to go to sleep earlier these days so it's time for sleep now. I am happy that I got to both rest and be productive today so I feel good. I… (edited) read more

I am drowning.

I used to think I was just lazy or always procrastinating. But it doesn’t feel like that. It feels like something inside me keeps holding me back. Like I’ve rested for so long, yet I’m still exhausted. Like I’m trying to move, to swim, to keep going…but somehow, I’m still drowning.

Spoon Bankruptcy: When the Body Calls in the Debt.

Most people in chronic illness spaces have heard of Spoon Theory. It’s a metaphor used to explain the limited energy people with chronic conditions live with every day. A spoon represents a unit of energy. - Getting out of bed costs a spoon. - Showering costs a spoon. - Cooking costs a spoon. -… read more

The best...

Has your gf ever just sat down next to you, not saying a word, rested against you without disrupting whatever you're doing, just to be with you for a moment? Ain't that the best? 🥰 (edited)

Nice

I'm finally past the no exercise period so I'm doing my morning yoga again. Awake early enough to make food. Do dishes. Tidy the spaces that have been building up. Drinking chia. Fridge full of groceries. Rested and ready. About to shower and get ready to leave early to get a coffee on the way.… read more

I almost resigned, but it turns out I was just exhausted. If you're in the same phase of "tired but not able to quit." 🥺😊

Waking up in the morning was hard. • Work felt empty. • Coming home felt even more tired. I thought, "I think I should resign." But I stopped for a moment and was honest with myself. It turns out I didn't want to leave. I was just exhausted. A fatigue that's been bottled up for a long time. A… read more

The Path (story)

The Dog Who Waited Every Night

Every evening, a golden retriever named Max would sit by the front door at exactly 6:00 p.m. No matter the weather... rain, snow, or blazing sun... he never missed a day. The neighbours thought he was simply waiting for his owner. But there was more to the story. Years earlier, a woman had… read more

Poem the Black Sea

The Black Sea She waited for me beside a drifting boat upon the Black Sea, where forgotten spirits built their homes from sorrow and unfinished prayers. The ferryman spoke no words. Are You Feeling Super?

You came back? It's nice to see you again, would you like something to drink? I’ve got tea, coffee or flavoured water, help yourself. Did I do what I said I would? Yes, I did. The outpost was supposed to be empty. Mizuno Keade felt it before he saw it—the air was wrong, thick with something old and unfinished. Im Libra

As I get older, what I seek is no longer pleasure but peace and when I am alone, I no longer feel afraid or lonely, but rather that I should have rested a long time ago Rest like this. Resting and sleeping longer is the most beautiful gift from a daily life that takes up time and energy. ☕

Spoon Bankruptcy

Each day, we start with a handful of spoons— tiny coins of energy counted, rationed, treasured. Getting out of bed costs one. Showering costs one. Cooking costs one. "Still Climbing"

I was half boy, half burden, pulling a rattling world behind me on two worn wheels. The west side of the world faded into dusk, and the road stretched thin as a promise I didn’t know how to keep— only that I had to. Grandma was calling from the edge of time, and love does not wait for comfort. So… read more

Living the Scream and I Can Complain

Pixel In A Lamp

Steven was out walking the dog in the nearby nature reserve when he spotted it.
