It's not dead. The internet and gaming are responsible for its downfall however. Look at today's dating vs just 3 decades (longer ago for some of us). You meet someone at school or mall or friends introduction. Go to a movie and cruising Friday night. Maybe 'parking' for a while to make out before she has go home by eleven o'clock. Today we swipe based upon a photograph or two, perhaps reading the bio and hope it's a mutual "like" but keep scrolling. You text for days (we used to use a telephone to talk with someone) and then one either ghosts or neither one has time to meet in person. (edited)
