I would 100% reject them. I have too many things going on, worries in my head to deal with meeting the needs of another person. Edit: wow this response really got people feeling sum typa way. Look, OP says "tomorrow". Not in this lifetime, 5 years from now or even 1 year from now. Tomorrow. No, at the present, romance is not a priority. Nobody knows what hardship my family is going through right now. Maybe stop relating my answer to YOUR feelings and realize its entirely me and what I'M dealing with. Am I quite able to give someone I love the time, respect and effort that embodies loving someone else. I have been damaged and severely hurt throughout my life and struggle with accepting that I am worthy of the same level of love that I am able of giving. However, I am aware of this mindset and communicate my needs to be reassured regularly, as well as, being able to recognize when I am negatively projecting my own self doubt and falsely accusing a person of not loving me when they are showing me love. I will apologize for my behaviors and work to become a better, more trusting person if the other person is willing to give me the time and support required to heal. I am actually talking to a nice woman here on Boo who read my profile and she is understanding of my situation and has been allowing me to take things at my own pace. I don't know that she is the love of my life yet, but I definitely see her as someone who I can grow to love and trust. I am hoping that things work out with her and that when I am cleared to go on dates after receiving a heart transplant, we will be able to meet in person and see if there is physical chemistry in addition to the social chemistry we currently have. She is also the only love interest that I am currently talking to.

I don't trust myself with romance anymore. I'm damaged goods and don't even believe in "love of your life". But I'm happy for anyone who gets to experience it. 🙂💜

I'm cool to give it a go. If I met The One, they deserve a blank slate, and I refuse to project any past trauma onto them, at least consciously. Despite the BS I've faced from the past, it's made me stronger, wiser, and more discerning. I'm still doing the work and this will continue to be a lifelong process. Love is the ultimate form of kintsugi. We are nothing without our struggles and can become nothing if we capitulate to them. #stoicism (edited)

My unconscious says that I'm ready for a relationship. Even if it would happen, I think something covertly toxic is the best I can hope for, given my condition. Any love, let alone of my life, sounds simply surreal. The thought of two people having similar needs and desires, doing each other good and experiencing alignment, not in my life.
