@Assia thats true, but I philosophy is not about circumstance , its not about what life throws at u. It's about how u react to whatever life throws at u. And that's different for different philosophies . For example , u may or may not have many material things. Cynics choose to reject everything while Stoicism choose to keep them but not be too attached to them, other philosophies may even teach u to be completely material.

@Assia I actually very much agree with u that most old philosophies are quite hard to practice as such in the modern day. Like imagine being a cynic and rejecting all material things, just can't be done in this age. But among them, Stoicism is the most relatable to today but still it can be impractical at times. But that's really where our role comes in, Stoicism gives us the rules , we must adjust those rules and make it compatible to the modern day. And if I'm not wrong nietzsche's entire work was about this that instead of following one, we can make our own philosophy to life, but I'm not entirely sure, haven't read his work yet.
