Ruminations on the Universe and the Idea of God
Sometimes you learn about concepts that put certain ideas that you have known most of your life into a completely different angle. When a lot of people think of God, they either think of miracles and unconditional love or a Tyrant that puts people through unnecessary pain and therefore is just a figment of imagination. You don't often see perspectives that extend way beyond the simple mundane side of it. Through my love of ancient stories and Elder Scrolls Lore, I've found a different way to frame it. It's nothing new that lots of religious myths and legends often tell stories that are either similar or the same, but when you start factoring in geology, theories on alien life and complicated questions like the shape or size of the universe, that's when things start to seem less and less... coincidental? A lot of people believe in alien life, and it happens to be that many diety worshipping peoples through history also had stories of their own often interchangeable - The Sumerians and their stories of the Anunnaki, whom they regarded as literal beings who came down to earth and bred with human beings to produce offspring. The stories of Ezazel and the Nephilim happen to be similar to the extreme, and it makes sense to believe that something like an angel, or a demon, could roughly be considered alien by our standards. Perhaps what they saw was indeed real and bore witness to technology snd feats thst they could not comprehend? There are space anomalilies that we don't understand regarding the shape and size of the universe. How can it be that space is seemingly near-infinite? We're not even sure if there's two different ends, and if there is what lies on the other side. If we truly believe we do have spirits, then is it really wise to dismiss the idea of more powerful ones existing elsewhere? There is Geological evidence that suggest continental floods could have taken place, and most cultures have ancient stories about such floods taking place - Noah's flood isn't the only story by any stretch. Why are there temples and settle places undergound that are over twice as old as the oldest pyramids (Gobekli-Tepe)? Before even Agriculture? Who built them, and for what purpose? If God is truly an Infinite being, then why has he allowed suffering? This is a pretty common criticism that gets brought up a lot, and even though christians have their own answers fegarding it, I think I have one of my own. In the Elder Scrolls, there is a concept known as 'CHIM'. The idea is that through understanding the true shape and nature of the universe and retaining your own individuality in it's presence gives you the ability to co-exist within it and "bend time both inward and outward, into a shape that is always new". In the lore it says that the Original Spirits/Gods cannot achieve such a state of consciousness because it is literally impossibke for them to do so, because since those beings are infinite, they cannot pinpoint their individuality because thwy have no ends and limitations and are only separated by their vanities and egos. Therefore, since they cannot distinguish themselves from the universe, they cannot achieve such a state of being. The only way to do so is through being mortal and your flesh being subject to the laws and corruptions of time and space. You have to be able to physically feel and also be capable of failure, in order to transcend beyond limitations - and in doing so, break the cycle of death and be alke to go beyond God is an infinite being in this context. I don't speak for other people but it makes sense to me that without being subject to pain and pleasure alike that we wouldnt know who we are in the different ways that we know ourselves and that we would have no such concepts for things such as good, evil, or ethics. We discover those things entirely through our suffering and our earthly experiences. In a way, it's like the earth is a literal testing ground for souls who are given a body that is subject to corruptions snd imperfectuons along with the other things in life that we enjoy, like the taste of food, sex, or even drugs. Everything we know and feel, hate and enjoy, is entirely valid due the simple fsct that we exist, and that is 100% self evident. We don't need a belief system to understand that, and it makes sense regardless, even if you do believe that something else really is out there - and it can even co-exist with such a perspective. If you red this far, you deserve a nice big tasty chocolate cake.

A guy and I exchanged glances at the store but just now I wondered why I remember noticing the muscle in his arm the most so did a Google search lol
Then again, I tried not to make eye contact with him cause I was anxious being at the store as it was. I am aware to a certain extent in why I find them attractive but still, this made me go oh ok that makes sense. (edited)
